Renovation: Single-family residence two-story conversion

Location: Atlanta, GA - Virginia Highlands neighborhood

Completion: 2015

An update to a classic Atlanta Craftsman-style home. The challenge was to increase usable area for a growing family while maintaining the existing footprint and creating minimal impact to the home’s historical streetfront persona. The design solution targets opportunities at the back of the house, including a second-story master suite addition along with a total opening-up of the entire back half of the main level - all of which focuses on a new, luxe backyard domain comprised of covered porch, stone terraces, outdoor kitchen, and meticulous landscaping - ideal for family gathering and entertaining.
